Osman Nuri – Project Lead, and his project team from Eczacıbaşı-Monrol Nuclear Product Co. (Monrol), visited our location in the Netherlands to attend the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the new n.c.a. Lutetium-177 production line.

The theranostic production line was built to facilitate Monrol’s Lu-177 n.c.a. production process, also known as LuMagic. This test is part of a partial FAT, as the complete product line will also contain a processing line, which undergoes an FAT later. Last year they started laying the groundwork to initiate the design phase. 

Monrol is one of the world’s largest nuclear medicine companies leading innovation for developing and manufacturing GMP-grade radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals with headquarters in Istanbul. Monrol distributes radiopharmaceutical products portfolio in global markets. In response to the growing demand for the production of Lutetium (Lu-177), Monrol requested Von Gahlen to design their additional production lines. 

During a FAT, customers and Von Gahlen engineers check all aspects of the hot cell to ensure it complies with the functional design specifications and the proper installation and operation of all functionalities, according to the customers' requirements. 

Monrol has collaborated with Von Gahlen for over 15 years.
