[Video] Looking back on our Koning Willem I award adventure
(This article is available in Dutch below). March 2nd, 2020 was the start of a special adventure: we were nominated for the Koning Willem I Award, in the category SME! The nomination in itself was already a great honor. And when we turned out to be the winner on November 25th, 2020, we couldn't be happier! We will never forget the moment when her Majesty Queen Máxima pronounced our name during the ceremony.
Aftermovie
In the following aftermovie (in Dutch) we proudly look back to this adventure. At the beginning of the video you will see her Majesty Queen Máxima shouting: ‘Von Gahlen Nederland B.V.’. After that, the video looks back at the first nomination on March 2nd. Director Jaap Duiker proudly accepts the nomination. And then the moment arrives where her Majesty Queen Máxima describes the winner. We quote the Queen: 'The winner is a company that is locally rooted, but operates internationally. A leading player that is becoming increasingly relevant in the market.’
Our Managing Director Alex Duiker had the honor to receive the award from DNB-director Klaas Knot. As managing director of a real family company, Alex looks proudly at his parents for a moment. He explains that both he and his family did not expect the award. 'My father said it, we had a 33% chance. But we didn't expect to be the winners!'
We view the award as a great appreciation for our worldwide performance in our market. 'We are proud to be part of the nuclear medicine. The world of the real heroes of healthcare and medicine. The current times just prove how important our field is!’, Alex said during the ceremony. And it still feels that way. Winning the award gives us a lot of motivation to continue in 2021 full of positivity!

Een terugblik op ons Koning Willem I Prijs avontuur
Maandag 2 maart 2020 was de start van een bijzonder avontuur waar we nog iedere dag op terugblikken. Die dag werden we namelijk genomineerd voor de Koning Willem I Prijs, in de categorie MKB! De nominatie op zich was al een enorme eer.
