(This article is available in Dutch below). Great news! We have reached the final of the Koning Willem I Prijs (King William I Award), in the category SME. This makes us one of the last three out of twelve nominees. The judges particularly appreciate the development we have made in recent years. On 25 November 2020 the coveted prize will be officially awarded. We are very proud and happy with this final spot and this makes us want more!

 

Special price for a special company

The judges summed it up nicely. "Of all the company visits and pitches, Von Gahlen really stood out," they said. "Von Gahlen has made a tremendous change from a classic metal company to a modern company in the medical industry. We are also very impressed with the large orders from the United States that Von Gahlen recently earned. Von Gahlen shows courage, innovation and social responsibility. This makes them a special company of which there are very few in the world.” 
Beautiful words which are a great appreciation for our team and of which we are immensely proud.

The Oscar of the Dutch business community

The Koning Willem I Award is popularly known as the 'Oscar of Dutch business'. This prestigious Dutch business prize is awarded every two years to a large company, an SME and a company that focuses on Sustainable Entrepreneurship. The judges are prominent people such as leaders from the Dutch business community, including DNB director Klaas Knot, and Honorary Chairman her Majesty Queen Maxima!

Von Gahlen finalist van de Koning Willem I Prijs 

Wat een geweldig nieuws! Wij zijn finalist van de Koning Willem I Prijs, in de categorie MKB. Hiermee behoren we tot de laatste drie van de twaalf genomineerden. De jury waardeert met name de ontwikkeling die we de afgelopen jaren gemaakt hebben. Op 25 november 2020 wordt de felbegeerde prijs officieel uitgereikt. We zijn heel trots en blij met deze finaleplek en dit smaakt naar meer! 

Bijzondere prijs voor een bijzonder bedrijf 

De jury vatte het mooi samen. “Van alle bedrijfsbezoeken en pitches sprong Von Gahlen er echt uit”, aldus de jury. “Von Gahlen heeft een geweldige omslag gemaakt van klassiek metaalbedrijf naar modern bedrijf in de medische industrie. Ook zijn wij zeer onder de indruk van de grote opdracht in Amerika die Von Gahlen recent binnenhaalde. Von Gahlen toont moed, innovatie en hart voor de medemens. Dit maakt hen een bijzonder bedrijf waarvan er maar heel weinig op de wereld zijn.”
Prachtige woorden die een geweldige waardering zijn voor ons team en waar we enorm trots op zijn.

De Oscar van het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven 

De Koning Willem I Prijs wordt in de volksmond ook wel de ‘Oscar van het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven’ genoemd. Deze prestigieuze Nederlandse ondernemingsprijs wordt tweejaarlijks toegekend aan een Grootbedrijf, een bedrijf uit het MKB en een bedrijf dat focust op Duurzaam Ondernemerschap. De jury bestaat uit prominente leden zoals kopstukken uit het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven, waaronder DNB-directeur Klaas Knot, en erevoorzitter hare majesteit koningin Maxima!
