We develop both customizable and completely tailor-made hot cells for nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy. Hot cells are shielded containment chambers which protect medical professionals from radioactive isotopes, used for diagnosis and treatments in nuclear medicine. “Hot” is a term used in nuclear technology for “highly active”. The shielding against nuclear radiation is ensured by the use of lead. In order to view what’s inside the hot cell, we utilize lead glass windows.

Our hot cells provide a safe working place to test, produce, manipulate and dispense radiopharmaceuticals. We supply University Medical Centers, hospitals, research institutions and commercial radiopharmacies that are handling nuclear medicine. To decide which type of hot cell is suitable for your needs, mostly depends on your field and goals. Research and development cells are often used to develop new products, while production and dispense cells are used for synthesis and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals.

GMP Hot Cells

We offer a product line specifically designed for current GMP regulations. The Dispensing Hot Cell, for example, is designed for aseptically dispensing sterile radiopharmaceutical solutions under an integrated laminar down flow providing a GMP class A environment. We also develop Research Hot Cells, Research Hot Cells with tong, Single Synthesis Hot Cells and Stacked Synthesis Hot Cells. Our GMP hot cells are highly customizable.

USP Hot Cells

We also offer customizable hot cells for radiopharmacies that are working according to USP guidelines. The Dual Chemical Enclosure, for example, is designed for radioisotope manufacturing and has two stacked compartments. These compartments can hold most synthesis models that are currently available. Our Modular Hot Cells are configurable to meet any research and manufacturing requirement or laboratory layout, while maintaining compliance with USP standards.
